Rare ‘honey’ moon lit up Friday night sky – WGNtv.com

People across the country got a glimpse at a rare sight last night—the “strawberry” or “honey” moon.

It is called the honey moon because of all full moons, it is the one most likely to glow yellow.

The full moon happened overnight to coincide with Friday the 13th. The next time there will be a full moon on Friday the 13th is August 2049, 35 years from now.

The above photo was taken in Tucson, Arizona.
